This is a hypothetical recalculation of the standings if Gannon Buhr’s HBH points were altered (see below). My goal is for this to be a measure for how much Gannon adds to the first pick team.
- If Gannon had the most HBH points in a given tourney, then his points for that tourney would be changed to the same FP value as second best.
- If Gannon did not have the most HBH points in a given tourney, then
his points for that tourney would remain unchanged.
- This is meant to trim the excess FP that Gannon adds when he’s at
his very best.
- TP remain unchanged.
This is a data-driven way to assess the importance of first pick in a season where it is all but assumed that Gannon will go first overall every time.
