Projected Climate Changes in Australian Cities: Temperature and Rainfall
Insert
About
Climate models predict warmer temperatures and more variable rainfall in
the coming years. Use play buttons, drop-down menus and hover
information to explore the predicted temperature and rainfall changes
for your city.
Note:
Missing data from the observation dataset were removed before
averaging
Rainfall data is entirely model-based
Within the broader climate change pattern, there will always be
natural variability due to local weather patterns and smaller scale
climate drivers
Observational temperature data is from the Australian Bureau of
Meteorology’s world-class ACORN-SAT
dataset.
Model data is from the HiRAM SAT HR model, produced by the Research
Center for Environmental Changes, Academia Sinica, Nankang, Taipei. It
is one of the CMIP6 ensemble models available on the Open-Meteo site.
