About
Use play buttons, drop-down menus and hover information to explore the
predicted temperature and rainfall changes for your city.
Climate models predict warmer temperatures and more variable
rainfall in the coming years. The Australian Institute of Health and
Welfare AIHW,
states that heat is the leading cause of extreme weather-related injury,
hospitalisation and death in Australia. Due to the impact on human
health, only summer temperature and hottest day of the year predictions
are presented on this page.

Observational temperature data is from the Australian Bureau of
Meteorology’s world-class ACORN-SAT
dataset.
Model data is from the HiRAM SAT HR model, produced by the Research
Center for Environmental Changes, Academia Sinica, Nankang, Taipei. It
is one of the CMIP6 ensemble models available on the Open-Meteo site.
