Using data from all deceased gubernatorial candidates in the United States between 1945 and 2012, we seek to forecast candidate longevity after elections. This data isn’t very representative of losing candidates, which may lead to inaccuracy. Although you can see in the plot that male candidates tend to live longer, there seems to be a lack in female candidate information.
