Eastern Cape Climate Watch, led by Prof. Alastair Potts of Nelson
Mandela University’s Botany Department, aims to understand Eastern
Cape’s climate patterns using the priceless rainfall data recorded over
decades by local farmers forming the basis of the project. The project
gathers and curates long-term rainfall records to uncover long-term
trends. Starting with a few weather stations, the goal is to expand
coverage over time.
Eastern Cape Climate Watch – connecting local knowledge with
scientific analysis.
