International automobile manufacturer Volkswagen is one of the first companies in China, entering in 1978, before large interest occurs just after 1990.
Before foreign investment started to climb, less than 5% of Chinese citizens reached university-level education. In the last decade this figure has rise to above 70% highlighting the importance investment has had apart from the economy.
Presenting the amount of academic articles produced in China shows the impact education has had in the higher levels of academia in the world, let alone China itself. Data from this graph encompasses the sciences, languages and the humanities showing advancement is occuring in all aspects of society.
The rate of increase between 2010 and the most recent figures of 2020, combines the investment in China together with the education levels which forces the world to watch for growth in emerging industry markets
The three key reasons stated in the third slide has produced this graph, showcasing why investment financially together with education and high academia form the modern China. From recent figures, China is the second largest economy overall in the world with a GDP of above 18 trillion dollars.
