Introduction

  • As many people know, the Olympic Games is a large sporting event competition that dates all the way back to the year 1896 in Athens, Greece. The Olympics is hosted every four years, alternating between Summer and Winter editions, and is known to be the highest level of competition when it comes to sports. Despite being known as the largest sporting competition in the world, The Olympics is also a strong representation of good health, friendship, and peace.

  • The year 2024 will come with the 33rd Summer Olympic Games that will be hosted in Paris, France starting July 26th and ending August 11th. However, with that being said I feel as though it is important to take a look back and analyze the Olympic Games from 1896 to 2014 to identify the countries and athletes on more statistical level.
