Significant weakness:
(1)No labels on the y-axis: In this visualization, y-axis represents the approval rating of the poll. The left candidate get a higher approval rate but showed lower than the right candidate in the visualization. Obviously these two line plots don’t share the same labels on the y-axis, but what even worse is that there are NO labels on the y-axis of both plots. This may cause a terrible misleading.
(2)Unnecessary plot spliting: If line plot is used to compare two or more variables, plotting those variables on a same chart is a better choice than splitting them into many charts. It’s easier to let the audience understand the information in the visualization.
Improvement:
(1)Add labels on the y-axis and name it “Appeoval rate”, making the plot clearer.
(2)Integrate two line plots into one. It’s easier to compare two candidates’ approval rate.
