BACKSLASHES: Commenting out syntax

Notice how I was able to type <br/> without it turning into a line break.
This is because I added a backslash before the syntax!
For things like asterisks, add a backslash before each asterisk.

BLOCK QUOTES

EQUATIONS

  • Anything inside dollar signs ($) is treated as “inline” maths
  • Anything inside two dollar signs ($$) is a standalone equation
  • There must not be any whitespace between your dollar signs and equations
  • Equations folow LaTeX rules
    For example: \(x^2\) is inline; while the next equation is standalone: \[ a^2 +b^2 = c^2 \]
