Excited but nervous. I had done some previous coding in a Year 1 course and although I enjoyed it, the course was quite challenging. I felt that it would be a similar feel to this course where it would be enjoyable but challenging and was curious about this new challenge.

A bit overwhelmed as it seemed like a lot of work to do on your own. It looked like a lot of responsibility and that it would be harder to get support and help if I am struggling compared to other learning models.

Less stressed and more confident. The R coding follows a similar logic to the coding I’ve done before. I also realized that the independent learning is much less of a work load then expected. I also found that is quite easy to get help if needed which calmed me down a bit

4. I think that the hardest thing about learning in the internship for me will be….

Keeping on top of the work I need to do each week. For example keeping on top of each coding module as well as the learning blogs every 2 weeks, plus preparing for the take home test, the group presentation, and the verification report.

5. My strategy for dealing with this learning challenge is….

Make a to do list each week so I can keep track of what work needs to be done by the end of each week. Also create a timetable of when I’m going to allocate time to do 3361 work each week so that I don’t procrastinate.
