Capitalism plays an important role in ensuring that the other values I

We needed groundbreaking lawsuits and federal legislation to try to
address the inequities that still exist based on race, nationality,
gender, etc. If the US was living up to its promises we wouldn’t need to
impose regulations for the workplace, housing, sports, etc to try to
ensure we’re all treated equally.

In the U.S., we do have many freedoms that people in some other
countries don’t have. We can speak out and criticize the government
without risk of incarceration for our words, choose which religion we
want to practice, or not practice, without being forced to follow a
state religion, vote for politicians to represent us in government, have
privacy in our homes, and many others.

issues, policies or things that should be addressed is a vital part of
what protects our freedoms as well. These are constantly under attack

born into. Being born into a family of privilege/wealth is the easiest
way to succeed in the US. Getting into a college is one thing bit paying
for it and being in debt after graduation is another. The US has a very
