Earnings vs. Cost for Selected Wisconsin College Degrees
This table compares the average earnings 4 years after graduation with the average net price of college attendance for 608 bachelor degree programs at 38 Wisconsin colleges and universities.
The information is from the October 2023 release of U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard Data.
Data coverage notes:
- The average annual net price includes tuition, fees, books, supplies, and living expenses MINUS grants and scholarships. It covers full-time, first-time undergraduate Title IV-receiving students. It does not include students paying out-of-state tuition at public universities. This statistic is computed at the institution level. Costs likely vary slightly between degree programs–at least for things like textbooks. Costs are as of the 2021-22 school year. See here for technical documentation.
- The earnings 4 years after graduation data also includes students who received federal financial aid. It excludes those who were in grad school during the measurement year, died, or weren’t employed. Data quality and availability limitations result in data from some degree programs being supressed.
