Introduction to Statistical Distributions

To begin this course we will consider the most mundane of distributions, the normal distribution.

You could of course look up “Normal Distribution” on Wikipedia.

The Normal Distribution

The normal distribution is frequently observed in nature and often assumed in experimental conditions, fundmentally the normal ditribution describes a “variable” (or “variate”) with a symmetric distribution of possible values around a known average - the mean.
