T&E Status & Harvest Parameters

Given the listed status of Whitebark pine, regulation prohibits the harvest of these species. Thus all FVS runs excluded whitebark pine from cut lists. The signal of all response functions are the result of mortality following treatment activities, and/or natural mortality (e.g. mortality following mastication even though whitebark pine trees themselves were not masticated).

Treatments show a positive affect for Live BA in WbP, but a negative effect in Live TPA. Given our static SARA value (2029) any loss in individual WbP trees (even due to natural mortality) in years 2030-2035 propagates as a loss in SARA value.
