You are going to use both Tableau and Power BI for this assignment. You will work with data on gun ownership rates, defined as proportion of adults living in a household with a firearm.

Click on “Download the Database.”
- You will need the worksheet called “State-Level Data and Factor Score.” The columns needed for this assignment are Columns B, C and D (
Year,State,HFR).
Note: HFR is the gun ownership rate.
Question 1 (10 points)
Fig. 1 shows a map of gun ownership rates by state in 2016. Recreate the chart in Tableau, and also in Power BI. Include suitable titles indicating which is which.
Question 2 (10 points)
- Fig. 2 shows a bar chart of the states with the highest rates of gun ownership in 2016. Create a similar chart showing states with the lowest rates of gun ownership in 2016. Create the bar chart in Tableau, and also in Power BI. Again, use suitable titles.
- In the table below, indicate the 3 states with the lowest gun ownership rates in 2016, and their gun ownership rates.
