Overview
Australia is one of the most prominent educational destinations for students globally to pursue their education as the Australian Universities offers diverse courses in both undergraduate and post graduate levels.
In this report, we have analysed the trend on how the international students have been granted with their student visas with respect to their state-wise study location in Australia and based on their level of education over the past 10 years. (April 2013-March 2023).
During the COVID-19 pandemic (2020 &2021) due to various travel restrictions, majority of the classes were conducted only in online mode, causing a deep hit in international students count. However, since 2022, with the ease in border restrictions the trends are recovering with a significant increase in the arrival of international students.
Victoria has the highest number of international students and this has been contributed by Universities like RMIT, Monash and Unimelb as they are preferred by majority of the International students especially for their post graduate level of education.
