Backround Info To Report Dataset:
This report uses Chicago Public Schools Progress Report data. In the
report we create a correlation matrix for various school scores. Also
providing linear models to describe associations between pairs of
variables with the strongest correlations, both positive and
negative. The purpose of the data is a state wide survey given to all
Chicago Public Schools to give feedback on environment and
inhabitants(Staff, Student, and Family). Specified categories of
interest for the report include: Environment Score, Instruction Score,
Safety Score, Family Involvement Score and the Rate Of Misconduct(per
100 Students)
(not all school’s survey results were taken into account in the data
used in the report as some surveys were incomplete)
The report is written using the corrolation plot provided
below.

Correlation 1:
Environment and Instruction score have a strong positive correlation
With a correlation coefficient of 0.8967704

Equation for the line: \(y = 0.7227x +
15.4210\)
Correlation 2:
Safety Score and Family Involvement Score have a strong positive
correlation With a correlation coefficient of 0.7692211

Equation for the line: \(y = 0.8972x +
5.1842\)
Correlation 3:
Safety Score and Rate Of Misconduct Per 100 Students have a strong
negative correlation With a correlation coefficient of -0.6225672

Equation for the line: \(y = -0.9315x +
65.2308\)
Correlation 4:
Family Involvement and Rate Of Misconduct Per 100 Students have a
medium negative correlation With a correlation coefficient of
-0.4640242(This being the second strongest negative correlation)

Equation for the line: \(y = -0.5952x +
61.0756\)
