Simple time series graphs for PLEX trade volume.

Simple time series graphs for PLEX closing price.

Looks like the volume traded has fallen since May 2015 past the levels seen in late 2014. It does seem that the last time volume traded had a real impact on pricing was at the end of 2014. A spike in volume we saw more recently caused a small short term change in the price of PLEX being traded, but did nothing to diminish the over all pricing trend.

Volume

When smoothed the a slight change in traded volume over the last month seems to be largely unconnected to the current acceleration in the price of PLEX. More significant changes have been seen in the past (see the residual plots)

Close Price

However the trend in PLEX price is behaving differently. For one thing the seven day trend is fairly stable, this upwards curve looks predictable. At least based on the immediate past. This does not of course account for any external factors that may change this.
