What is Correlation Analysis?
Correlation analysis is a statistical method used to evaluate the
strength and direction of a linear relationship between two or more
variables.
Types of Correlation
- Positive Correlation
- Negative Correlation
- No Correlation
What is Regression Analysis?
Regression analysis is a statistical technique that investigates the
relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent
variables.
Types of Regression
- Simple Linear Regression
- Multiple Linear Regression
- Logistic Regression (Assingment)
Why do we use SPSS?
SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is a powerful
software for data analysis. It’s user-friendly and offers a wide range
of statistical tools.
Hands-on with SPSS
Let perform a simple correlation and regression analysis on a data
(Body Fate) and make report.
Description of Data:
- The data consists of 20 females whose age are between 25 and 30
years old. Variables in the data set are:
- y = amount of body fat
- x1 = triceps skinfold thickness
- x2 = thigh circumference
- x3 = midarm circumference
