What is Correlation Analysis?

Correlation analysis is a statistical method used to evaluate the strength and direction of a linear relationship between two or more variables.

Types of Correlation

  1. Positive Correlation
  2. Negative Correlation
  3. No Correlation

What is Regression Analysis?

Regression analysis is a statistical technique that investigates the relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables.

Types of Regression

  1. Simple Linear Regression
  2. Multiple Linear Regression
  3. Logistic Regression (Assingment)

Why do we use SPSS?

SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is a powerful software for data analysis. It’s user-friendly and offers a wide range of statistical tools.

Hands-on with SPSS

Let perform a simple correlation and regression analysis on a data (Body Fate) and make report.

Description of Data:

  • The data consists of 20 females whose age are between 25 and 30 years old. Variables in the data set are:
    • y = amount of body fat
    • x1 = triceps skinfold thickness
    • x2 = thigh circumference
    • x3 = midarm circumference
