Hi! I am Eva Beyebach and I am a student-athlete at The University of Texas at San Antonio. I am currently a Senior majoring in Business Analytics. I am an international student from Spain, but I am fluent in both German and Spanish because my father is German. I have been practicing tenis my whole life and was able to come to USA with a tennis scholarship, something that had been always my dream. In future I want to work as a Data Analyst, either in the healthcare/ nutrition industry or in the financial industry.

Professional Background

Since I have been playing professional tennis my whole life, I have not had full-time jobs. However, while I studied in college I was able to get some work experience doing some internships. In summer 2022 I was a Sales Intern with Southwestern Advantage where I sold educational resources door to door to help families and students in the classroom. Last year I worked as a Najim Strategist where I helped Union Pacific Railroad Company to expand their diversity gender population within their company. Our team gave students surveys around campus and we collected data from them. Then we analyzed, cleaned and visualized the data to draw recommendations for marketing strategies for the company.

Portfolio Website

This summer I created my own Portfolio Website where I created some portfolio projects. I did a total of three different projects.

1. Data mining model
  • I Used R to create data mining model to predict whether a compound would be active or inactive.
  • Applied regression and machine learning to produce a final model with accuracy of 92%.
2. Customer Segmentation and Target Marketing Analysis
  • Identified and mitigated Data Quality Issues using Python.
  • Analyzed trends and behaviors of existing customers to develop a strategy for customer segmentation.
  • I visualized the data and recommendations using Tableau.
3. Obesity Prediction
  • I performed EDA using R.
  • Draw correlations between all values to see which variable would. predict Obesity the most.

Experience in R

I have used R in two other classes before. I like R, I think it is a very good and fast program. I have also used R in some of my projects. I think I have a good understanding of EDA in R but I would love to learn more about regression analysis, classdfication models, deep learning etc. That is why I am super excited for this class!
