Introduction to Me!

Hello Hello!! My name is Pragya and I come from vibrant city of Nagpur in India - also know as Orange city of the country! I am an analytics professional with 5+ years of experience in the data science consulting and product-based analytics space.

Academic Background

I have completed my bachelors in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from SRCOEM, Nagpur! I have started pursuing my masters in Business Analytics at University of Cincinnati! :D

Professional Background

I am deeply passionate about numbers and problem-solving, and this landed me my first job in Bangalore, India in 2018 in a data science consulting firm called - Mu Sigma! I worked as a Decision Scientist at Mu Sigma for three years traversing through multiple business domains like pharmaceutical and banking. I experimented a lot with data and algorithms spanning from - Descriptive Analytics to Predictive Analytics - Regression, Time series forecasting - ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet, and Supervised learning techniques like - KNN, Random Forest, etc.

I moved on to join the Cloud Computing giant - VMware in 2021 as Data Scientist II where I worked at the Chief Data Office to collaborate closely with the Digital Transformation initiatives - solving core Sales problems like reducing VMware’s global deal compliance risk using statistics and data science, Workplace and People Analytics, etc.

Experience with R

I have worked with R during the initial months of my career majorly for data and statistical analysis and developed R-shiny app for tracking supply and demand for one of the generic drug’s of a pharmaceutical company. I am very excited to build on my R skills in this class with Dr. B and my peers!

I have worked with tools like Python, R, SQL, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Arcadia, Gitlab, Microsoft Suite and a few big data tools.
