- Exercise is a fantastic way to boost mood to start or end the day in a good mindset

- From the dictionary, exercise is “activity requiring physical effort, carried out to sustain or improve health and fitness”
- Operational definition
- I manipulated exercise by placing participants into categories of either one minute of push-ups or thirty seconds of push-ups
Water
- Construct definition
- water is a clear liquid that is used for drinking and cooking, or makes up features of our earths geographic profile or even our own bodies.
- Operational definition
- I manipulated water by randomly assigning some participants to drink 8oz of water or not to drink water
Mood
- Construct definition
- mood is a state of mind that can effect mental health. Mood can be positive, negative, and neutral. This is different from emotions but can factor into emotions.
- Operational definition
- To measure mood, I instructed participants to complete five questions looking at current mood and wellbeing after completing the other design elements to explore impact.
