MPS comparison by faculty
MPS comparison by department
Comments
- Assessment and feedback is good, either in line or above MDX
- Learning Community is low across the university, but AM below MDX but others above, by the same amount, perhaps some good practice to share?
- Organisation and management, Edu and MHSWK are in line or above, but AM is considerably below and hopefully the move to central timetable will help.
- Dissertation both departments above MDX by 6% or more
- Teaching and learning Edu and AM in line or above MDX but MHSWK is below by over 10%, so an area to review ahead of next year.
- Overall sanctification, Edu and MHSWK are above MDX by at least 5%, however MW under by the same %, so some unpacking to do ahead of next year.

Comments
- Employability again a strong area with all programmes being above MDX and Nursing (MH) Y2 being at 100%
- Learning community again all above MDX aside from Nursing (Adult and Child) Y2, so some areas to look at, but interesting that Y1 for those programmes are above.
- Assessment is a strong area for all either in line or above aside from Ba Primary and Nursing (Adult) Y2
- Learning and teaching is all in line or above, aside from Nursing (MH) Y2 which is considerable below, and would suggest action taken to ensure things are in place for next year.
- Overall, all programmes above the MDX average aside from Nursing (Child) Y1+2 and Nursing (Adult) Y2, so again some planning for positive activities at the start of the year might be an idea to ensure things improve for the NSS

Comments
- This shows you the variance in some metrics, but also that the faculty is largely in line with each other and with MDX. This is aside from organisation and management which as noted might be due to timetable and group allocation issues at the start of the year.
Actions
• Ensure year 2 cohorts moving into year 3, receive a positive induction, including outlining where the following areas have been completed: 1) Clear organisation of the programme including assessment schedules and assessment feedback is taking place, 2) Where work has been completed or is ongoing on the learning community development.
• Clearly outline where assessment support can be accessed and utilise LET where appropriate.
• Work with timetable team to make timetables as student centred as possible and group allocation is accurate from week 1 ( I know this has largely been completed).
• Continue to push teaching observations with staff next year and promote that this is being completed with students, so they are aware teaching and learning is always being developed.
