Synopsis

The DEA Cocaine Seizure analysis is an attempt to answer and show which states had the highest number of cocaine seizures in the 48 contiguous states plus Washington DC in 2007. The analysis will also attempt to answer which states had the highest on average purity of cocaine (percentage ) in the 48 contiguous states plus Washington DC in 2007. Data Source

The System to Retrieve Information from Drug Evidence (STRIDE) is a database of drug exhibits sent to Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) laboratories for analysis. If you would like to learn more please click on the link below.

The following chart illustrates the the number of DEA cocaine seizures done in the 48 contiguous states in 2007. Florida, Washington DC, New York, Texas, and California rank the top five states with total number of cocaine seizures in 2007.

The following chart illustrates the cocaine potency percentage in the 48 contiguous states in 2007. Texas, Arizona, and South Carolina ranked the top three between 70.0% and 72.0% in cocaine purity while Rhoad Island, Connecticut, and Idaho ranked the bottom three between 50.0% and 54.0% in cocaine purity.
