This project discusses the regression model of an insurance company’s data to predict the insurance premium that must be paid by a policyholder.

From the first model, it can be seen that the most significant variables are age, BMI, and smoker. This can be seen from the adjusted R-squared value of 0.7457. This means that based on the predictor variables included in the model, it is able to explain the cost variable by 74.57%, the rest is explained by other variables that are not included in the model.
Feature selection is the stage in selecting the variables to be used in the model. This process will evaluate the stepwise model using the AIC (Akaike Information Criterion) value. AIC shows a lot of missing information or information loss on the model.

The difference is not too much compared to the first model. This suggests that there is no harm in removing variables that do not have significant coefficient values.
