Camera Overview

  1. Undo Latch on camera to open it like a book.

  2. Overall Camera Layout

    1. LCD Screen
      1. Display Camera Settings
    2. POWER/ MODE SWITCH
      1. Turn Camera ON/OFF and into SETUP MODES
    3. SWITCHES
      1. Navigate and program camera settings
    4. SD Card Slot
      • Insert SD card with label facing upwards
      • A click sound indicates SD card is inserted correctly
      • To remove
        • gently push and the card should spring back
        • then it can be removed
    5. Battery Compartment
      • Put 8 AA batteries in exactly in image below
      • Line Up Negative/Positive symbols on camera to Negative/Positive on batteries

  1. Buttons

    1. POWER/ MODE SWITCH

      1. ON = Power switch in the ON position (LCD screen is off.)
      2. SETUP = SETUP mode: Power switch at SETUP position (LCD screen is on).
        • Check and Change the settings of the camera
      3. OFF = OFF mode: Power switch in the OFF position
    2. MENU

      • Pressing MENU allows you to select any parameter and change its settings.
    3. OK

      • save the new setting (actually change it)
    4. Arrow Keys

      1. RIGHT/LEFT

        • Scrolls to the next or previous parameters
      2. UP/DOWN

        • Select a different setting for the currently displayed parameter

  1. Screen
    1. Mode Camera
      • Camera symbol means camera in camera mode
    2. Image Resolution
      • Resolution setting of camera
      • Should be HD
    3. SD Card
      • Clear if SD card is not locked
      • If SD card is locked a lock symbol will appear in center
    4. Battery Level
    5. Date/Time
    6. Remaining Photo Capacity
      • Total number of photos SD card can hold
    7. # of Photos Taken
      • Number of photos on SD card
    8. Field Scan ON
      • Will appear if Field Scan is ON.
      • Blank if Field Scan is OFF
    9. Time Stamp ON
      1. Will appear if Time Stamp is ON
      2. Blank of Time Stamp is OFF

Power Camera On

  1. Put 8 AA Batteries into the Battery Compartment
    1. Refer to Camera Overview section , subsection 2 , subsection 5 ( Battery Compartment )
  2. Install SD CARD
    1. Refer to Camera Overview section , subsection 2 , subsection 4 ( SD Card Slot )
  3. Move POWER/MODE SWITCH switch to SETUP postion
  4. LCD Screen should turn on

Downloading a Camera

  1. Arrive at Camera

  2. Unlock Pad Lock and remove camera from housing ( remove if you can )

  3. Open Camera

    • Power Switch Should be ON
    • Take Photo of it (Like the one pictured below), even if it is OFF
      • The photo will allow user to both confirm it was on and that if camera malfunctioned it was a camera no a user error.

  4. Move Power switch to OFF

  5. Remove SD Card

    1. Refer to Camera Overview section , subsection 2 , subsection 4 ( SD Card Slot )
  6. Insert Blank SD Card

  7. Move Power Switch to SETUP

    • LCD Screen Will Turn ON.
    • IF LCD Screen does not turn ON.
      • Move Power Switch to OFF
      • Replace Batteries
  8. Check Time

    1. Take photo exactly like one below.
    2. If time differs change it.
    3. Follow from MENU sections use sub section 1. to Set Clock to adjust time
    4. This camera was 2 min ahead so had to subtract 2 min
  9. Check other Settings

    1. Camera Mode
    2. Field Scan On
    3. Battery Level
      • If 1/3 change batteries
    4. SD Card Unlocked
    5. If settings are good take a photo exactly like the one below.
  10. Deploy Camera

    1. Move Power Switch to ON

    2. Take Photo exactly like on below.

      • The photo will allow the user to confirm that the camera iso
  11. Put Camera Back in Housing and have a nice day
