Homo Deus - a brief history of tomorrow with Y.N. Harari

I believe that in the future there will be life on earth, but not with humans. I think a lot about the meaning of life, how did we get here, how it all started. There must be a species with higher intelligence. Logically there are not enough resources on earth, plus there is already a shortage of them. Furthermore, the population is growing rapidly, which is no longer optimal. Environmental pollution is already irreversible, even if companies start to operate in an eco-friendly way.

Next topic that I liked was that everything depends on people or lets call it customers. That’s not the world that’s Us, the trends, the needs, even the laws are dictated by humans. We created this lifestyle. Of course a big thanks to the scientists who invented things with which we were able to move forward in terms of the quality of life. However, there are a lot of things, for example the law, which was made up by a normal person like me or anyone else and the whole world/country works according to it, this is a very deep topic.

It is interesting that we actually need to collect data for decision making. We don’t notice it, but we consider a lot of things when making a decision. It is true that it does not matter what is at stake, if the decision is fateful then more thorough information gathering is necessary.

Technology and humanity always come up as a topic. Unfortunately, it is true that slowly the computer or Google will know much more about people than they know about themselves. They collect a lot of information about us from site visits and searches or other things, so they actually know our personality type, likes and hobbies. This is very scary, just we don’t think about it everyday. It is important to remain human and listen to our feelings or heart but sometimes you also have to listen to your mind. For example, I would listen to a machine regarding my health, since not all diseases have symptoms or only after a certain time.
