Demographics

Race
What is your race or origin?
This graph is in the works
Native Language
Select the language(s) in which you are fluent. Select all that apply.
assume the class is in English
Age
age post needs to make sure the scale is correct
Class level
Which of the following best classifies you as a student?
class level needs to make sure the national lines (geom_tile) is red and correct
Do we like the order of this one. Inlayed bars?
Have you successfully taken a statistics class before?
Average GPA
This graph is currenly being worked on
Pre Post plot
The problem with the GPA dual graph is that since we are categorizing gpa as a “numeric” with groups, such as a categorical variable, our formatting doesn’t quite work. we will need to reformat this graph in order to get it to plot.
Majors
Pick the field that best describes your major or intended major
This graph needs to be condensed. We should combine majors in order to get the quantitiy down. It will help the y axis be easier to read. waiting to see how we want to group them. Do we want to select only the top 5, top 10?
need to make sure that the red shows up for the national
Items that need to be addressed
- major questions need to be grouped to make the y axis cleaner
- fix the x axis to percent properly
- add national to this graph make sure that the red is there for the tile
The graph above is being worked on. The next portion is to group the majors together to make the graph smaller.
Minors
If you have a minor, pick the field that best describes your minor.
Items that need to be addressed
- minor questions need to be grouped to make the y axis cleaner
- add national to this graph
Lots of None responses, do we want to keep this in the data. do we want to group them. ideas are welcome for this one.
Prepost plot
Items that need to be addressed
- Sort the values from highest to lowest
- Fix the scaling for each of the values as it doesnt scale for the values that are possible. (Goes to 100% when no value is above 50%)
- minor questions need to be grouped to make the y axis cleaner
Same comments as the last one
Why take
Which of the following best describes why you are taking this class? Select all that apply.
This graph needs to be taken a look at. Since it is a select all, you need to take all possible options then plot them all at the same time. You also need to make sure you seperate the source of the data with their choices. Not entirely sure how we want to do this. I would plot this as a singular graph and then take their first option since this would most likely be a static graph and not one with prepost.

this is a second way we thought about labeling the bars. the count on the top and the percents on the bottom.
Constructs
Histogram for the averages for each group of construct. Ie, The average for cost for CSUMB is centered around 5 and is skewed left.
This is a work in progress. We are currently working on getting the questions on the top of each graph.
