I used the stated distances, though it seems like the yellow loop was longer than 5.4 miles?! Hard to say, because the many switchbacks and tree cover may have made the GPS tracking difficult.
Maybe you noticed that there was a timing mat only at the finish line, not at the start? That means your loop time starts when the person before you crosses the finish line timing mat. If your loop time seems longer than what you recorded on your watch, it may be because there was a little extra time during the exchange just before you started off on your loop.
