It is such an important question in life that What is my purpose? Mainly for students who are freshly graduated and starting their life with their first job. If we find the right place as Tim Cook said, we can be happier, because we can find the meaning of our mission. Now we are one step ahead after this useful speech. We know what we should keep in front of our eyes when looking for a job, but it’s actually not that simple either. On the one hand, not everyone can get a job where they want to work, we can call it a dream job. On the other hand there’s no guide book to find how we want to serve humanity, it can take years until we find out.
Technology is a great thing, we can easily get to a big amount of information which helps our lives, but it can be very dangerous if we don’t take it in the right direction. It can rise above people and the problem is not that technology can be called smarter, but that reality will be slowly lost and human relationships cease. It was not mentioned in the video, but another actual problem with technology is that it takes away workplaces from people. Steve Jobs quote is thought-provoking, because we human made technology so without us it would not exist on Earth.
In conclusion this speech was very inspiring. Life is not easy but people can work hard to reach what they want. But we must ensure that technology is developed and used in a way that aligns with our values as the future generation will depend on it.
