Chili vs Bars
For my question I want to research, I want to know if chili establishments or bars get the more favorable reviews. I chose this because Cincinnati prides itself on their own Cincinnati chili and the amount of unique bars around different parts of the city. Growing up in Cincinnati, I was lucky enough to try many of these chili restaurants and Im now starting to try these bars. My goal of this assignment is to find which Cincinnati thing is more prominent with the public through Yelp reviews, chili restaurants or bars.
Data
To address my quest to find out what Cincinnati establishments are more liked within the community, I am looking at 3 specific things in Yelp. I will be looking at the ratings, reviews, and the amount of ratings. I want to look at the filter and look at the among of ratings because a place that’s newer might have less reviews then others, which will potentially skew the final findings.

Conclusion
Through the findings of results, we can see the different between the two categories with ratings and reviews. As we see in the graphs shown above, more people have reviewed chili restaurants then bars. This may have an affect on data as mentioned before. The average restaurant rating is 8.88 and the average bar rating is a 9.48. This makes sense because if you are at a bar, for the most part you are having a good time. Factors that might change the rating for bars might be space, wait time for drinks, seating, music etc.. But usually the bar experience are good ones.
For restaurants, there are many factors that go into this average 8.88 ratings. For example, was the service good, was the food hot, was it crowded, were the workers nice etc. An interesting thing I saw on the graph is there was the majority of the ratings were 10 for the restaurants. The range of ratings for restaurants was from 7-10. The factor that brought the ratings down was because of the amount of 7s.
For Bars, we see a range of scores from 8-11, which Im not sure how someone rated 11. The majority of the average ratings for bars was in the 9s and 10s were second. This makes sense once again because people are having fun times at bars. In order to average a 7 or below, the bar experience would have to be terrible.
