Midwest Elements is a consortium of university campuses surrounding Midwest Kansas and Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas, Kansas City, Missouri, Lawrence, Kansas, and Manhattan, Kansas - a collaboration of partners of Frontiers CTSI. Midwest Elements has accomplished successes streamlining research processes including contracting, standardizing partner onboarding, data safety and sharing infrastructure, producing effective advancements in research, technology, and health, and acknowledging equity, improving diversity and revealing inclusivity In research to serve as models of the shared benefit of a multistate collaboration.Midwest Elements connects researchers and administrators to resources to investigate and solve problems, increase opportunities, and enhance abilities to operate in an efficient manner. Our groundwork of shared governance stimulates collaboration, enabling us to strengthen individual work and increase its impact.

The University of Kansas Medical Center's mission is to improve lives and communities in Kansas and beyond through innovation in education, research and health care. At KU School of Medicine - Wichita, we educate tomorrow’s physicians and health care leaders through community partnerships to improve the health of Kansans. The division of Research Administration provides oversight for research at the University of Kansas Medical Center. The units within Research Administration provide support services including grant management, regulatory oversight, clinical trial budgeting, contract support and training.
KU School of Medicine - Wichita
With Kansas in need of more physicians, the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita opened in 1971 to provide hands-on clinical training to medical students in their third and fourth years. In 2011, KU School of Medicine-Wichita expanded to a full, four-year campus.
