We using geolocator data from 2008-2020 to map the distribution of several bird species present on Southampton Island. These include; Black-bellied Plover (Pluvialis squatarola), Hudsonian Godwit (Limosa haemastica), Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus), American Golden-Plover (Pluvialis dominica), Dunlin (Calidris alpina), Red knot (Calidris canutus), Rudy turnstone (Arenaria interpres), Semipalmated Sandpiper (Calidris pusilla).

For each of the maps below, each point represents an estimated winter stop over location (~ 250km radius) with colors corresponding to arrival month (1 - 12 representing January to December).
Point size is relative to length of stay at each location, with larger circles representing longer stays. Note grey lines link successive locations by date and represent straight line distance for orientation only.
