The college scorecard data is a dataset that contains information from different colleges about the school. Variables include state, longitude and latitude, admissions rate, SAT average, loan data, and more.
Lets look at Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky average SAT scores.
This tibble is grouping by state abbreviation, and then outputting the average SAT score for the schools in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Lets make that into a histogram now.
It would appear that Ohio and Indiana have nearly identical SAT averages, while Kentucky is falling behind. This could be due to Ohio and Indiana having schools such as Xavier and Purdue in them to raise their average SATs.
