The Electoral Districts (ED) with the highest numbers are outside of the M50 along commuter routes. It should be noted that the EDs in the Dublin City centre are smaller in area compared to the other regions. Also, “commuter” towns tend to be the largest towns in the region, so it is not necessarily only a function of being a town commonly associated with commuters.

Motorway and National Roads off the motorways can be seen in blue, National Primary routes can be seen in green.
As a share of Eircode Output Area, of which there are 139, some of the towns stand out. Navan for instance has a large share relative to other towns within the Eircode Area. These areas often cross county boundaries and can be made out with the thin grey lines.

Mixed picture in Europe of the data released so far, there appears to be an upward revision to Irish industrial production in November. Year on year decrease in December, that can be seen in the industrial production index above, being driven by the notoriously noisey Modern Sectors.
Most sectors recovered pandemic losses, if there were any. With most stabilising last year.
One to watch for next week, Russia confirm oil cut and OPEC are expected not to boost supply.
